One of the most astonishingly accomplished child acting performances I’ve ever seen, this heart-wrenching tale of Hushpuppy and her Daddy trying to survive in their flooded community rests entirely on the shoulders of untrained Quvenzhané Wallis. She is enthralling, and her story is magical and moving. Expect tears!
