http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2872718/Jake Gyllenhaal is fantastically engaging as a creepy thief-turned-crime-journalist who becomes obsessed with covering the best/worst crimes of the Los Angeles night. It's hard to take your eyes and ears off the eloquent, charming and tenacious protagonist, but this leaves other characters underdeveloped. A very stylish, well-directed affair.
